Beef Burgers with Fries

Ingredients
Crispy Potato Chips
- 1 pack of chips
- 1 Tbsp burger spices
Burgers
- 1 carrot
- ½ brown onion
- 450g beef mince
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup panko crumbs
- Remaining burger spices
To serve
- 5 burger buns
- 1 baby cos lettuce
- 1 tomato
- ½ brown onion (optional)
- 1 pack tomato relish
- ¼ cup mayonnaise

Cook Chips Preheat oven to 230ºC. Preheat BBQ hot plate, if desired. Toss chips on a lined oven tray with a drizzle of oil and season. Cook for 25-30 minutes, until golden and crispy. Turn once during cooking.

Make burgers Grate carrot, finely dice first measure of onion. Combine all burger ingredients with ½ tsp salt in a medium bowl. Use a half cup measure and damp hands to form 6 patties about 1cm thick. Alternatively leave the carrot out of the patties and serve inside when building your burger

Cut buns and prep salad Cut burger buns in half and place flat on a lined oven tray. When chips have 4 mintues remaining, heat buns in oven for about 3 minutes, or until warmed through. Thinly slice lettuce, tomato and remaining onion. In a small bowl, mix together relish and mayonnaise.

Cook patties Heat a drizzle of oil in a large fry-pan on high heat and cook patties for 4-5 minutes each side, until cooked through. Set aside, covered to keep hot. Alternatively cook burgers on BBQ hotplate as per method.

To serve Fill burgers with relish mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion and a beef patty. Serve chips on the side.
