Indian Chicken Burger with Bombay Chips

Ingredients

Chips

  • 400g potatoes, cut into chips
  • 2 carrot, cut into chips
  • 1 drizzle of oil
  • 1 tsp Bombay salt

Patties

  • 600g free range chicken mince
  • 1 pack Indian spices
  • 1 pack breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 drizzle of oil

Burger

  • 1 pack sesame seed burger buns, halved
  • 2 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 lettuce, torn

To Serve

  • 4 Tbsp Bombay aioli

Steps

  1. Before you start. Preheat oven to 220°C (or 200°C fan bake).
  2. Prep & cook chips. Prep potatoes and carrot and toss both on a lined oven tray with oil. Cook for about 25 minutes or until tender and golden. Season with Bombay salt.
  3. Prep patties. Combine all patty ingredients, except oil, in a bowl. Divide mixture into four and shape into 2cm thick patties. Set aside.
  4. Prep burgers. Slice burger buns in half and set aside on a lined oven tray. Prep tomato and lettuce and set aside.
  5. Cook patties. Heat oil in a large fry-pan on medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 5 minutes each side or until cooked through. Set aside, covered to rest.
  6. Toast buns. While patties are cooking place burger buns in oven, below chips, and cook for about 5 minutes until warmed through.
  7. Serve. Buns filled with a patty, tomato, lettuce and a dollop of Bombay aioli. Serve chips and remaining aioli on the side.
