Ingredients

SALAD

  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1/2 courgette, grated
  • 1/2 capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp sumac spices
  • 1 tsp vinegar

PATTIES

  • 1 pack lean ground beef & pork
  • 1 pack burger spices

FETA WHIP

  • 25g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup yoghurt

SUMAC EGGS

  • 2 eggs
  • Remaining sumac spices

TO SERVE

  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 iceberg lettuce, seperated into cups

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to high grill. Preheat BBQ hot plate to medium (if using).
  2. Prep salad. Add all salad ingredients to a bowl along with a pinch of salt. Toss well to combine.
  3. Prep patties. Mix all patty ingredients together in a bowl with 1/2 tsp salt. Shape into 2 equal-sized patties, about 2cm thick.
  4. Cook patties. Place patties on a lined oven tray, brush with 1/2 tsp oil and grill for about 12 minutes, or until cooked through. Alternatively, do this on the BBQ hot plate, turning every 2 minutes for about 12 minutes.
  5. Prep feta whip. Whisk together feta and yoghurt in a bowl.
  6. Prep tomatoes & lettuce.
  7. Cook sumac eggs. Heat 1 tsp oil in a non-stick frypan on medium heat. Cook eggs for 3-4 minutes (flipping halfway if desired). Sprinkle with a pinch of sumac spice and season. Alternatively, do this on the BBQ hot plate.
  8. Serve patties inside lettuce cups. Top with tomato, salad, a sumac egg and feta whip. Serve remaining salad and lettuce on the side.
