Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 pack chicken breasts, cut into steaks
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 pack kebab spices

Sauce

  • 150g yoghurt
  • 2 tsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

Veggies

  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 lettuce, shredded
  • 1 carrot, grated

To Serve

  • 1 pack Lebanese breads
  • 1 pack tomato relish
  • Mayo
  • Sweet chilli sauce

Steps

  1. BEFORE YOU START, preheat oven to 200⁰C. Preheat BBQ to medium-high (if using).
  2. PREP & COOK CHICKEN. Pat chicken dry and cut into steaks. Place your hand flat on top of chicken and slice through horizontally. Mix with garlic, kebab spices, a pinch of salt and a little oil. Heat a little oil in a fry-pan on medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes each side (depending on thickness), or until cooked through. Set aside to rest for a few minutes before roughly chopping and tossing back through resting juices. Alternatively, cook chicken and bread on BBQ.
  3. WARM BREADS. Wrap breads in foil and place in oven for 10-12 minutes, until warmed through. Leave in foil until ready to serve. Alternatively, place unwrapped breads on plate, cover in cling wrap and microwave for about 90 seconds, until heated through.
  4. PREP SAUCE & VEGGIES. Combine yoghurt, sweet chilli and second measure of garlic. Prepare veggies.
  5. SERVE everything in the middle of the table for everyone to help themselves.
