Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 1/2 cups jasmine rice
  • 2 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 250g frozen peas

Goma Dare Dressing

  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 pack goma dare sauce

Stir-Fry

  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 pack beef mince
  • 1 pack garlic and ginger paste

To Serve

  • 1 pack sesame seeds

Steps

  1. Cook rice Bring a full kettle to the boil. Combine rice, boiling water measure and a pinch of salt in a pot and bring to the boil with the lid on. Once boiling, reduce to lowest heat to cook for 12 minutes. Remove lid and quickly add peas. Cover, then turn off heat and steam, covered, for 5 more minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking.
  2. Make dressing and prep veggies Mix all dressing ingredients together in a bowl. Cut broccoli into very small florets and roughly dice stalk; cut carrot in half lengthways and thinly slice; thinly slice red onion.
  3. Cook beef Heat a drizzle of oil in a fry-pan or wok on high heat. Cook beef for 2-3 minutes, stirring until browned. Set aside, covered. Return pan to high heat.
  4. Cook veggies and finish rice Add carrot and onion to pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add broccoli, garlic and ginger paste and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, until veggies are tender. Add goma dare dressing and beef mince and toss to combine. Season. Fluff up rice and drizzle with a little sesame oil.
  5. Serve rice with beef and veggies. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
