French Beef Stew with Kumara Mash

  • 1 French beef stew

Kumara Mash

  • 400g kumara
  • 1/4 cup milk

Steps

  1. Cook stew Preheat oven to 180°C and bring a pot of salted water to the boil. Remove plastic cover from beef stew and cover with foil. Place on an oven tray and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through. Stir halfway to ensure even cooking. Alternatively, spoon meal into a baking or casserole dish and cook at 200ºC for about 25 minutes, until heated through.
  2. Cook kumara Peel and dice kumara 2cm and cook in a pot of salted water, with the lid on, for about 25 minutes until tender. Drain and return to pot with a knob of butter and milk and mash until smooth. Season to taste.
  3. Serve mash topped with beef stew.
