The perfect way to use up any left over hot cross buns this Easter! This is a delicious spin on a classic dessert. It’s warming, a little bit naughty and totally delicious. Best enjoyed snuggled up on the couch!
Hot Cross Bun Pudding
Ingredients
- 4 hot cross buns diced, 3cm
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 60 g dark chocolate drops
To serve
- ½ cup cream optional
Instructions
- Before you startPreheat oven to 180°C. Set aside a medium baking dish.
- Prep puddingPrep hot cross buns. Place cream, milk, sugar, eggs and cinnamon in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Add diced buns and chocolate to bowl and toss to combine. Transfer to baking dish.
- Cook puddingBake pudding for about 25 minutes, until golden.
- ServePudding with cream.
