This Spiced Cocoa Butter is exactly what you need if you’re a chocolate or nut butter fiend! Just like Nutella only much healthier and with a secret ingredient no one will guess, we recommend spreading this cocoa butter thick on your rice crackers, toast or apple segments. It also tastes great in a smoothie with some banana! A Nutribullet makes easy work of this spread, but you can also make it with any blender or food processor.
Makes 12 serves
Ingredients
1 x 400g can black beans, drained and rinsed
¼ cup cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp coconut oil
½–⅔ cup milk (dairy-free milk also suitable)
Pinch of salt
⅓ cup roasted peanuts (or toasted hazelnuts)
4–5 tsp honey
Method
1. Add all butter ingredients to Nutribullet or blender and blend until smooth.
Store in the fridge for 4–5 days
