Are you a morning person? How do you own your mornings?

Mornings really hit differently with a toddler, they often start very early. 😂 I do love mornings, I don’t get out and exercise as much as I used to but I still love that first shower of the day. The ceremony of starting a fresh.

What are you loving at the moment?

Skincare as self care! I’ve actually always taken pride in the fact I’m so ‘low maintenance,’ as though neglecting yourself somehow translates to humility? I suppose lockdown gave me the time to reflect on where this story came from, and whether it’s that useful? Starting each day with those five minutes connecting with myself, massaging my face feels so luxurious and it’s a time of the day I really value now.

What are you eating at the moment?

Chickpeas and turmeric. I don’t know whether it’s my Middle Eastern blood but I love simple roast vegetables with hummus. Winter is really my food season!

How do you practise mindfulness?

To me mindfulness simply means participation. Being conscious of your environment and interacting with small rituals which help activities feel purposeful.
