Hummus might just be one of our favourite things to eat! We serve it with everything in Fresh Start, and love making it at home to have as a snack with crudites or our incredible Super Seed Crackers (recipe below).
See below our fave basic recipe that you can add any flavours or toppings you like to, or see some of our favourite flavoured recipes too. They’re all delish and the perfect healthy snack!
Quick & Easy Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 400g can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 Tbsp tahini
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Add all hummus ingredients to a food processor and blitz for 1-2 minutes, until it reaches a smooth consistency. Alternatively, add all ingredients to a bowl and use a stick mixer to blend and combine hummus.
- Season and transfer to an airtight container and allow to chill, in the fridge, for at least an hour before digging in. Keep in fridge for up to 5 days.
- To serve, enjoy as a snack with your favourite raw veggies such as carrot, cucumber, radish or capsicum sticks, or seeded crackers, or as a filling for sandwiches, wraps or salads.
